  • Going to Maine - continued

Well, we got the bad news today. The cabin has slipped and will have to be re-leveled, which means none of the windows will open, the plumbing is probably broken etc. The folks in ME assure me they will have it fixed in three days, but having re-leveled it myself several times over the years, I don't have too much hope. We intend to leave in about two weeks, but may have to delay. Sigh.

  • I hope your cabin will be OK.

  • @thereluctantsinger - Thanks for the comment- Hopefully it will be fixed before we get there. We had hoped that when we had the foundation redone a few years ago that this would be behind us but a bad cold winter and wet spring , as well as the spring in front of the cabin, make this a chronic problem - the cabin is up on a pile of large boulders but even they roll in the frost.
