  • Our Annual Trek

For the past thirty-seven years we have been making summer in down-east Maine our vacation.
We leave tomorrow (Sunday) morning for a very familiar drive of three of four days, avoiding interstates for much of the trip. My wife should be surprised with her anniversary present- a new floor, new wider door, and a handicapped ramp. This will make the cabin and camp much more accessable for her - Hey! I'll use the ramp also
Our camp's on the shore of a beautiful lake and I just had the drive down to the shore re-graded so hopefully we will be able to get right to the door. I'll keep you posted.

  • Have a wonderful, safe trip!

  • This ramble was pretty much The trip from hell. We went through all that flooding and rain the NE had at the end of June. My wife had a bad fall just as we left (she insisted on continuing) and was a bloody painful mess for the first day. when we got here, the phone line was down and it took three days to fix. The external power on my Mac PB failed (at least that's what I think hap;pened) and I am typing this on an antique computer while using an antique browser - all of wihich moves very slowly. Couple that with a phone line that does well to communicate at 26400 bps an you see that my comments will be pretty terse. AFTML, everything is (mostly ) going well.
